Services such as Google, Amazon EC2, ELB’s, etc are extremely popular these days. These services generally make it very easy to integrate your own DNS services, as most supply a CNAME record that you point your DNS host names to. For the unfamiliar, a CNAME is like an alias. It generally makes one record point to another. www.MyDomain.com = www.AnotherDomain.com for example. This works fine in most cases, but there are a few issues where it frequently causes problems (and is the case of many support requests to us.) |
