The Alias Record, A Smart Solution to a Common Problem
Services such as Google, Amazon EC2, ELB’s, etc are extremely popular these days.
These services generally make it very easy to integrate your own DNS services, as most supply a CNAME record that you point your DNS host names to. For the unfamiliar, a CNAME is like an alias. It generally makes one record point to another. www.MyDomain.com = www.AnotherDomain.com for example. This works fine in most cases, but there are a few issues where it frequently causes problems (and is the case of many support requests to us.)
