TitleNetmon - longer data retention and 1 minute tests now available |
|
As requested we’ve now added longer data retention periods
and a very short 1 minute testing interval option for critical tests to the
netmon service. These new options naturally consume significant
additional resources if used, so the cost is not the standard 1 webzone per
test. The additional cost in webzones for each test is now calculated
based on the options selected in the test properties and will always be shown
at the bottom of the test properties page in real time as you change storage
options, test timing etc. These costs remain
extremely competitive with comparable services.
If using these options, please ensure you have enough webzones to cover
your service usage. Accounts will be
updated to show the new usage shortly.
In addition to the above, we have changed the way dns tests
are performed with the service. As a
result you may notice that dns response times for your tests appear to have
increased. This is due to the new method
of testing which should more accurately reflect the real world experience of
your clients. Test nodes now perform queries
and wait for the full result in order to determine the time it takes for a
client to receive a typical query back from the server.
With dns tests, you can now also supply different records
and record types to query.
All nodes will be updated with the new software over the
next 24 hours.
Best regards,
Kind Regards |
